Manchester City plot move for Liverpool and Arsenal targets as Julian Alvarez replacement - Reports

Manchester City are reportedly plotting moves for Arsenal and Liverpool targets Savinho and James McAtee amid Julian Alvarez's potential exit. According to a report from HITC, both players could play a key role in Pep Guardiola's team next season.

It is no longer a secret that Manchester City face the reality of losing Julian Alvarez this summer. The Argentine has played a backup role since joining the Cityzens due to the presence of Erling Haaland and he's expected to leave and establish himself as a regular elsewhere.

According to HITC, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have agreed on a deal that will see the striker switch to the Wanda Metropolitano. He is said to have been granted permission to travel to the club for his medical and would earn significantly more than he currently does at the Etihad Stadium if everything goes well.

The deal is thought to be worth around £80 million, which would make the Argentine the biggest export in the club's history after he arrived for just £14 million a couple of years ago.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are expected to find a replacement for their departing star. The source mentioned that Savinho and James McAtee - two players on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool, respectively - are being eyed by the Cityzens.

The Premier League champions apparently hold a strong interest in the two attackers. HITC claim that they've been told that the duo could play important roles in Pep Guardiola's system next season.

That said, the Cityzens have serious work to do to convince the player to snub Liverpool and Arsenal in favor of a move to the Etihad Stadium.
