Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho subject of interest from Premier League club after Erik ten Hag fallout: Reports

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is reportedly being monitored by West Ham United after his fallout with manager Erik ten Hag.

According to 90min, West Ham are keeping tabs on Sancho's situation, with the England international expected to leave Old Trafford in January. He hasn't played for the Red Devils since August.

Jadon Sancho, 23, has been banished from Manchester United's first-team after claiming Ten Hag dropped him for other reasons than underperforming in training. The player hit back with a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) accusing his manager of lying. He's endured a nightmare spell since joining the club in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for £72 million.

West Ham have taken notice of his situation and could swoop for the former BvB forward. The Hammers have a solid array of attackers in their squad, including Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, and Mohammed Kudus but could strengthen further.

However, a deal with an English club is deemed difficult and Sancho does have other options. Clubs from Germany, Italy, and Spain are circling for his signature and his camp are studying these choices.

Dortmund are interested in bringing Sancho back to Signal Iduna Park and they are his preferred destination. He was a hit during his four seasons with the Bundesliga side, bagging 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games across competitions.

Sancho has been unable to replicate that form at Manchester United, managing just 12 goals and six assists in 82 games across competitions. He has three years left on his contract.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly not going to get involved with Jadon Sancho's situation at Manchester United

According to the aforementioned source, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will steer clear of intervening in the saga surrounding Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford. The INEOS chairman looks set to purchase a 25% stake in the club in view of an eventual full takeover.

However, Ratcliffe won't interfere with any squad decisions, seemingly allowing Ten Hag to call the shots. The Manchester United coach is unwilling to reinstate Sancho into his first team until he apologizes.

The British Billionaire is a fan of Ten Hag and thus he looks set to back the Dutchman over such decisions. Sancho could be the first departure to happen under Ratcliffe's watch with a January move appearing to be on the horizon.

Jadon Sancho has not yet commented since being banished from the Red Devils' first team. He's currently the club's third highest earner, sitting on £275,000 per week, per SalarySport.
