Manchester United enter race for Arsenal and Barcelona target with Manchester City also keeping tabs - Reports
According to AS, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Arsenal and Barcelona target Dani Olmo. Manchester City are also interested in the player, who starred for Spain in their triumphant Euro 2024 campaign.
Olmo was a key player for Luis de la Fuente's side as they won the European Championships in Germany. The RB Leipzig attacking midfielder had a spectacular tournament, scoring thrice and providing two assists over the course of the competition.
After Pedri's injury against Germany in the quarter-finals, Olmo became a starter for La Roja. Barcelona hold a long-term interest in the player who is a product of the famed La Masia academy.
Arsenal are also understood to hold interest while Manchester City are monitoring the situation. As per AS, Manchester United are willing to shell out £50 million to sign Olmo.
The Red Devils have already added Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to their ranks and are looking to further bolster. United signed Mason Mount last summer, who operates in a similar position. Olmo's potential arrival could further strengthen the side.
Olmo has been plying his trade at Germany with RB Leipzig and has so far made 148 appearances for the club, scoring 29 goals and providing 34 assists.
Benfica president Rui Costa claims club have an offer on the table for Arsenal and Manchester United target Joao Neves
Arsenal and Manchester United hold interest in Benfica prodigy Joao Neves, who is also a Portugal international. Rui Costa has now hinted that the Portuguese side could let the player go for less than his release clause.
The Benfica president has claimed that there's an offer on the table which the club are considering. Speaking to A Bola, Costa said (via GOAL):
"I never said that Joao Neves would only leave for his release clause and therefore, those claims are false. What I can say in relation to Joao Neves is that there is an offer on the table."
Neves reportedly has a release clause of €120 million. PSG are understood to have tabled a €70 million offer for the young midfielder, which might be the proposal Costa referred to.
