Manchester United to face tough competition from Arsenal for £77 million-rated star in January - Reports

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Randall Kolo Muani. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) could be open to letting him leave on loan in January 2025.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of strikers since last season. Gabriel Jesus has flattered to deceive and has also had to deal with multiple injuries. Kai Havertz has operated as their main striker but Arsenal are looking for proper No. 9s.

The Gunners beat Preston North End 3-0 in the EFL Cup Round of 16 recently. However, excluding that game, they have scored just three goals in their last five games across competitions, failing to score in three of them. Hence, as per TBR Football, they have now expressed an interest in signing Kolo Muani on loan in January.

The French striker joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported fee of £77 million last summer. He's scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 51 games since. However, Kolo Muani has become surplus to requirements under Luis Enrique this season, having started just two games across competitions this season.

Hence, PSG are open to letting him leave on loan in January. Manchester United, who have scored just nine goals in 10 Premier League games this season, are also interested in signing the Frenchman.

John Obi Mikel believes Arsenal and Manchester United will be successful at Chelsea

Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are among a number of clubs who have been linked with a potential move for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres. The Swede has scored 66 goals and provided 19 assists in 67 games for the Portuguese side since arriving from Coventry City last summer.

Former Chelsea striker John Obi Mikel was recently asked on his Obi One podcast if Gyokeres would be a success with the Blues. He answered (via Metro):

"Definitely. For me, he is a Premier League player, he’s a player that suits the Premier League. He has every attribute to be a Premier League player, strong, big, quick, and most importantly goalscoring. He can score goals and when you look at it, his goal scoring ratio is better than any striker right now in Europe, the stats are there to back it up.
"He has been absolutely fantastic. Scoring three goals against Man City, you don’t hear that often. He has been fantastic and looks a little bit like [Erling] Haaland."

Arsenal and Manchester United are closely monitoring Gyokeres' situation. With Ruben Amorim set to join the Red Devils as manager, they could potentially be ahead in the race.
