Manchester United keeping eye on 2 more strikers despite securing a deal to sign Joshua Zirkzee: Reports

Manchester United are eyeing another striker after reportedly sealing the deal for Joshua Zirkzee. It has been claimed that the Red Devils want Ivan Toney or Dominic Calvert-Lewin to bolster the attack.

As per a report in the Telegraph, Erik ten Hag wants a replacement for Mason Greenwood. The Englishman agreed a deal with Olympique Marseille, but the move was on hold after the mayor of Marseille asked the club not to sign the striker.

Manchester United are already looking for his replacement and have zeroed in on Toney and Calvert-Lewin. The two are seen as the ideal experienced players to help Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has left the doors open for an exit for Toney and said (via Football365):

"We never know. We thought so with Saman (Ghoddos, who was released and then re-signed) last year. We said goodbye to him last year, then three months later he's stood there. It's always tricky. (Toney) is under contract with us. But what we can agree on is that Ivan has been a fantastic player for us and hugely important."

Everton, meanwhile, are yet to decide on Calvert-Lewin, who has been dealing with injury issues for the last two seasons.

Manchester United told to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin by Rio Ferdinand

Rio Ferdinand is a huge fan of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and has urged Manchester United to sign the Everton striker. He believes that the Englishman can help the club up front and said on his FIVE podcast:

"Listen, Dominic Calvert-Lewin for me, I love him. I've watched a lot of Everton this year and he's one that unnerves defenders. He's not one you want to play against week in, week out. He's aggressive, he attacks the ball. I was speaking to Carlo Ancelotti earlier this year and he mentioned [Filippo] Inzaghi and said he didn't need many chances to score goals and he scores goals in and around the six-yard box."
"I look at Calvert-Lewin this season and he's listened to that, he's taken that on board. Obviously, he seems a real good student of the game and he's started putting that into his own game. We've seen the rewards he's had, he's got into the England squad by scoring loads of goals in and around the six-yard box, scoring those ugly goals. I think he'd be a fantastic signing for Manchester United," he added.

Ivan Toney is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking to bring in a striker this summer.
