Manchester United ready to sell £60 million-rated player in January after Ruben Amorim's arrival - Reports

Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell veteran midfielder Casemiro in the January window. The Red Devils do not see the Brazilian as a part of Rubem Amorim's plans and are ready to let him leave, as per CaughtOffside (via TBRFootball).

Casemiro could be one of the high-profile exits from Manchester United in 2025. The report claims that the £60 million signing from Real Madrid could be available for half the price when the January window opens.

Amorim is keen on working with Manuel Ugarte again and sees the Uruguayan star as his main defensive midfielder. Kobbie Mainoo is expected be the other player in the two-man midfield with Bruno Fernandes playing ahead of them.

The publication adds that apart from Casemiro, Joshua Zirkzee could also be allowed to leave in January. The new signing has not settled in at Manchester United and is already linked with a return to Serie A.

Apart from the duo, Marcus Rashford, Christian Eriksen and Antony have also been linked with a Manchester United exit next year.

Casemiro was told to leave Manchester United and move to Saudi Pro League or MLS

Football pundit Jamie Carragher was not happy with Casemiro's performances last season and urged the Manchester United star to leave for less challenging leagues. He claimed that the Brazilian's time in top European leagues was done and he should consider a move to the Saudi Pro League or MLS.

He said on Sky Sports (via Independent):

“I think Casemiro, I am being deadly serious, should know himself tonight as an experienced player, that he should only have another three games at the top level, the next two league games and the [FA Cup] final, and thinking I need to go to the MLS or Saudi.
"I am being deadly serious. His agent or the people around him need to tell him it has to stop. We are watching one of the greats in modern times, played in one of the best midfielders in modern time - him holding [Toni] Kross and [Luka] Modric on either side, who could easily go up against the Barcelona midfield we all know and loved."
"I am nowhere near the level of what that man achieved, but I always remember something when I retired. It was a saying I always remember as a footballer. Leave the football before the football leaves you. The football has left him at the top level. He needs to call it a day at this level of football and move," he added.

Casemiro hit back saying it was disrespectful and he had no plans to leave Old Trafford. He wanted to stay and prove his worth despite reports claiming interest from Galatasaray.
