Manchester United and Real Madrid join heated race to 17-year-old Greek wonderkid: Reports

Manchester United are ready to lock horns with Real Madrid for the services of Charalampos Kostoulas, according to Caught Offside via Tribuna. The 17-year-old forward has caught the eye with Olympiacos and has already scored three goals for the senior side.

A number of top clubs across Europe have sent scouts to watch Kostoulas in recent times. The teenager's efforts have already earned him admirers at Old Trafford, but the Red Devils will face competition from Los Blancos, Bayern Munich, and West Ham United for his signature.

The Greek club are apparently willing to cash in on their prized asset in 2025 to raise funds to invest in their squad. They reportedly have set a €20m asking fee for the teenager, which shouldn't be a problem for his suitors.

However, both Manchester United and Real Madrid will be aware that a move could be a gamble, given that the player isn't proven at the biggest stage. However, there's no doubt that the Greek forward has the potential to make it big in his career.

The Red Devils have turned their attention to younger targets of late. The Premier League giants have burned their hands with poor decisions in the market in recent times and are eager to make amends.

Manchester United are looking to revamp their squad to suit Ruben Amorim's tactics and Kostoulas has been identified as a target. The Red Devils have a history of nurturing youngsters and the teenager could fit in quite well at Old Trafford.

However, Real Madrid have a habit of picking out the best talents of the land, and their interest in the Greek forward could spell trouble for Manchester United.

Manchester United would like to sign Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe if he becomes available in the future, according to journalist Alan Nixon. The French superstar joined Los Blancos as a free agent this summer after ending his association with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

However, Mbappe's stay with the LaLiga champions has hardly been ideal, with the player struggling to live up to expectations. The Parisians are apparently keeping a close eye on his situation and are willing to take him back.

However, the Red Devils would also like to be in the conversation if the 25-year-old decides to leave Real Madrid. The report adds that Mbappe would prefer a return to the Parc des Princes.
