Manchester United step up transfer pursuit of 24-year-old star amid Real Madrid interest: Reports
Manchester United are set to ramp up their efforts to sign Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies ahead of Real Madrid in the 2025 summer, as per AS. The Canadian full-back has emerged as a target for many of Europe's top sides as his contract with his club nears its expiry.
Davies has been repeatedly linked with Real Madrid in recent months. The Spanish giants said to be waiting patiently for his contract at the Allianz Arena to expire. The 24-year-old reportedly turned down multiple contract offers from Bayern Munich as he appeared to favour a move to Spain as a free agent next summer.
Manchester United have now emerged as an alternative for Alphonso Davies in recent weeks. Spanish outlet AS claim the pacey left-back is very high on the Red Devils' wishlist.
The report from AS indicates that Davies wants a signing bonus of around £10 million and a weekly wage of £240,000 to join the Red Devils. The terms have been communicated and the English side are said to be open to accepting them.
Manchester United view Davies as a perfect long-term left-back option, having seen the recent injury struggles of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. The Bayern Munich man is younger than both players and is seen as a good fit for Ruben Amorim's style.
Manchester United interested in move for Real Madrid youngster - Reports
Manchester United are looking to make a move for Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Arda Guler on a temporary basis, as per Diario SPORT.
Still only 19, Guler is a regular for the Turkiye national team but has struggled for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu. The former Fenerbahce man has played only 307 minutes this season in 17 appearances.
Guler is contracted to the Spanish giants until 2029 but appears to be increasingly frustrated with his lack of game time. The teenager is reportedly considering a move to the Premier League on loan, and Manchester United is an option for him.
