Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to sign Tottenham target - Reports

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal want to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Pedro Neto this summer. Manager Mikel Arteta reportedly wants the Gunners to have a back-up for Bukayo Saka.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is interested in adding a new winger to his ranks and has reportedly held talks with Neto's inner circle. However, they are facing competition from clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Neto, though, could prefer a move to Spurs as he is looking to join a club that'd guarantee him regular first-team football.

At the moment, Neto is one of the best players in the Premier League from teams out of the top six. In 135 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Portugal international has scored 14 goals and has provided 24 assists.

In 2023-24 Neto scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 24 appearances across competitions. He has also made 10 appearances for Portugal's national team, scoring once and providing two assists.

Neto was a part of the Selecaos' Euro 2024 squad as well. He made three appearances during the European Championships, starting in the 2-0 loss against Georgia in his side's final group game.

Arsenal and Tottenham target Pedro Neto happy to stay at Wolves

Pedro Neto has already spoken about his future at Wolves. The winger didn't rule out a move away from the club with interest from teams like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Neto said that he loves Wolves and looks forward to helping the team evolve in the project. Speaking during the launch of Wolves' 2024-25 away kit, he said (via The Boot Room):

"I love this club, I'm really happy to be here and take this team to another level."

Neto has shown he can be an efficient creator and could turn out to be a good addition to any top Premier League club.
