PL club make contact with Chelsea over potential move for Noni Madueke - Reports

Premier League side Newcastle United have reportedly contacted Chelsea regarding the availability of Noni Madueke. As claimed by Football Insider, the Magpies have shortlisted the 22-year-old as they look to bolster their right-wing option.

Alongside Madueke, Newcastle United are also reportedly pursuing West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen and Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville as options. Michael Olise was reportedly their primary choice but the Frenchman joined Bayern Munich for a reported £50.8 million.

According to Football Insider, Newcastle United have now switched their focus to Madueke because of complications surrounding Jarrod Bowen's move. Chelsea are believed to be looking to balance their books after spending £65 million on five new acquisitions.

The Blues could be ready to cash in on Madueke for a profit, having signed the Englishman from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023. He has only been a bit-part player for Chelsea following his £29 million switch.

Despite only playing 1593 minutes of football across 34 games across competitions last season, Madueke scored eight goals and produced three assists. Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy featured on the right flank for Eddie Howe's side last season and scored just six goals combined.

Madueke made a name for himself at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands having joined the Eredivisie side from Tottenham Hotspur in 2018. He is capped 40 times at various youth levels for England and has been pretty impressive.

Chelsea consider a move for former Manchester United midfielder as a replacement for Conor Gallagher: Reports

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for former Manchester United star Andreas Pereira as a replacement for Conor Gallagher. Gallagher has been heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge in recent months and his contract expires next summer.

Gallagher came through the youth ranks of the Blues and has so far made 95 appearances for his boyhood club. He was one of the best players for Chelsea last season with seven goals and nine assists in 50 games across competitions.

As reportedly by Brazilian outlet GE Globo, the west London side have identified Fulham's Andreas Pereira as a possible candidate to replace Gallagher. They have already gotten in touch with Pereira's agent Kia Joorabchian and are ready to pay £30-35 million for the midfielder's signature.

Pereira was formerly on the books of Manchester United and made 75 appearances for the Red Devils. He had loan spells with Valencia, Lazio, and Flamengo before permanently moving to Fulham in 2022. He has been a key player for the Cottagers since, contributing with eight goals and 15 assists in 82 appearances.
