PL club set to make bid for Arsenal star Emile Smith-Rowe - Reports
Premier League side Crystal Palace are reportedly set to make a bid for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe. This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who provided an update about the situation on his X account (formerly Twitter).
The England international has been struggling for game time of late under Mikel Arteta. With competition from the likes of Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and Kai Havertz, among others, for a place in an attacking midfield role, Smith Rowe sees limited minutes.
This situation is likely to continue if the Gunners' academy product remains at the Emirates. To aid the midfielder's cause, Fulham, along with the Eagles, are said to be interested in his services.
Claiming that Crystal Palace are set to make an official bid for Smith Rowe, Romano wrote:
"Understand Crystal Palace are set to bid for Emile Smith Rowe. Fulham had proposal rejected by Arsenal this week and Palace now set to try, as Oliver Glasner really wants him."
Last season, the 23-year-old midfielder made 13 Premier League appearances, which allowed him just 346 minutes of action on the pitch. In those games, the youngster bagged a couple of assists but failed to find the back of the net.
A move away would be perfect for Smith Rowe, who will most likely get regular time with either Crystal Palace or Fulham. After coming up the ranks with the north Londoners, he's made 115 senior appearances across competitions, bagging 18 goals and 13 assists.
Arsenal interested in signing Real Madrid attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz - Reports
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz this summer. This is according to SPORT, who believe that the Gunners are willing to shell out €70 million to get their man (via Madrid Universal).
Despite the north Londoners' interest in the player, it is believed that the Morocco international is happy at the Santiago Bernabeu for the time being. However, with Kylian Mbappe arriving at Real Madrid and Diaz not a starter, he may have to reconsider remaining with Los Blancos.
A move to the Emirates would seem ideal for Diaz, with a spot on the left-hand side of the Arsenal midfield up for grabs. On top of that, the Gunners will be expected to challenge for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League title in the coming campaign.
To date, Diaz has made 65 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid, bagging 14 goals and 12 assists. He has three years left on his current deal.
