PSG forward emerges as a potential January target for Barcelona : Reports

Barcelona have reportedly classified Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Randal Kolo Muani as a potential target for the January transfer window. This is according to a report from Fichajes.net, which claims that France International is looking for a more prominent role in another club (via Barca Universal).

The striker is currently behind Goncalo Ramos at the Parc des Princes and has started just two Ligue1 matches in the 2024-25 campaign. A move to Camp Nou could help the 26-year-old attacker, who could become the first choice if he decided to move.

La Blaugrana are seemingly looking for replacements for the aging Robert Lewandowski. With the Poland international contracted with the club only till the summer of 2026, they need to move him on in 2025.

This is to ensure that they secure a transfer fee for the former Bayern Munich striker and not let him walk away for free in 2026. Although Lewandowski is now 36, he has been a sensation in the 2024-25 season.

After the arrival of manager Hansi Flick, he's scored 23 goals and bagged two assists in 23 appearances across competitions. Therefore, Barcelona may need to have a serious think about the future of their veteran forward.

If they are to bring in Kolo Muani, the aforementioned report states that much will depend on the transfer sum that PSG will demand. At the moment, The Frenchman is contracted with the Ligue 1 giants till the summer of 2028, which may need the Catalan outfit to pay a hefty sum for his services.

If Barcelona are to replace Robert Lewandowski, it seems as though they have a number of potential candidates lined up for the job. Among these are Manchester City's superstar striker Erling Haaland, according to a report from Jota Jordi (via The Hard Tackle).

Something that may please the Catalan side is the willingness of the Norway international to represent the Blaugrana. It will still take a fair chunk of money to get the deal done in 2025, with Haaland contracted at the Etihad till the summer of 2027.

Up until this point, the 24-year-old striker has been simply brilliant at Manchester City, netting 108 goals in 121 appearances across competitions. Given that he's already won the Champions League and the Premier League with the Cityzens, a new challenge at Barcelona could tempt him to move.
