Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in 3-horse race to sign 22-year-old Venezuelan star: Reports
LaLiga giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are both keen to sign Venezuela international Jon Aramburu from Real Sociedad, as per Fichajes. The talented right-back is a wanted man after a series of impressive displays for club and country.
Real Madrid are in the market for a new right-back after the season-ending injury to Spanish defender Dani Carvajal. The Spanish giants have been linked with many players, including Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, as Lucas Vazquez is their only available right-back option.
However, Aramburu's performances have ensured Los Blancos are not the only side interested in his services, with Atletico Madrid also interested in the 22-year-old, as per the aforementioned report. Los Colchoneros, like their city rivals, are looking to sign a right-back cover and Aramburu is among the options they have lined up.
Fichajes reports that Real and Atleti are not the only two sides looking to sign the Venezuelan defender, with Serie A champions Inter Milan also keen. With Denzel Dumfries linked with a move away from the Italian outfit, La Real's Aramburu has emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri.
Jon Aramburu began his career as a centre-back, capable of featuring in defensive midfield, before transitioning to a right-back role. The youngster is capable of featuring at left-back as well, as he has shown with the Venezuela national team.
Aramburu is a good defensive full-back, and his profile will fit into teams like Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, both of whom ask very much of their full-backs defensively. The versatile defender has already appeared 11 times across all competitions for Sociedad this season, having made his debut in November 2023.
Real Madrid linked with move for Miguel Gutierrez - Reports
Real Madrid are interested in left-back Miguel Gutierrez from Girona, as per a report from Fichajes. The defender came through their La Fabrica academy.
Guttierez has developed steadily since moving to Girona in 2022, after having broken into the first team at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2021. Still only 23, the left-back has already made five senior appearances for the Spain national team.
Real Madrid are in the market for left-back cover amid uncertain displays from Fran Garcia. With the Girona man available on a buyback clause of just €8 million, Los Blancos are willing to explore that possibility in 2025.
