Real Madrid and Bayern Munich set to battle for 19-year-old German prodigy: Reports
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are set to compete in the transfer market for TSG Hoffenheim midfielder Tom Bischof, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes (via The Hard Tackle). Bischof started his youth career with TSV Amorbach in 2011 and later joined Hoffenheim on a free transfer in 2015.
The 19-year-old is a Hoffenheim academy graduate and debuted for the senior team during the 2021-21 season. Since then, Tom Bischof has become a crucial part of the Bundesliga side. He has scored two and assisted two goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for Hoffenheim this season.
Bischof has also started 11 games for the side in the Bundesliga. The 19-year-old prefers playing as a central midfielder but has also played as a right winger for Die Kraichgauer. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid see the German midfielder as a future investment and his current contract with Hoffenheim will expire in the summer of 2025.
As a result, both clubs will have a good opportunity to secure Tom Bischof's services. The Bavarians aim to sign a replacement for Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich, who have uncertain futures in Munich and are nearing the exit door next summer.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos see Tom Bischof as a long-term successor to Toni Kroos, who retired from professional football after the 2024 European Championships.
