Real Madrid handed boost as star man set to return for Leganes clash - Reports

Real Madrid have been handed an injury boost as Thibaut Courtois will reportedly be back for their upcoming clash against CD Leganés following the international break. The La Liga clash is slated for November 24 at Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

Following Los Blancos' 5-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on October 23, Courtois sustained an injury to the adductor muscle of his left leg. The Belgian goalkeeper has missed three matches across competitions for the Spanish giants so far.

Diario AS have now reported that Thibaut Courtois will recover by the end of the ongoing international break and will feature in Real Madrid's upcoming La Liga match. The news of the 32-year-old shot-stopper's potential return to the pitch comes at a good time for Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian manager is dealing with an injury-riddled squad at Santiago Bernabéu this season.

According to Madrid Universal, Courtois has also been back in training with the Los Blancos squad. In his absence, Andriy Lunin stepped in and helped the Spanish club maintain one clean sheet in three matches and also provided a stunning assist.

Thibaut Courtois was unavailable for the majority of last season after sustaining a cruciate ligament tear in August 2023, followed by suffering a meniscus tear in March 2024. The goalkeeper missed 48 matches for Real Madrid in the last campaign. He has contributed to four clean sheets in 12 appearances across competitions for Los Blancos so far this season.

Real Madrid reportedly keen on signing Eredivisie defender amid injuries

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing PSV Eindhoven defender Olivier Boscagli in the 2025 summer transfer window. Los Blancos currently have seven outstanding injuries, with four of them being from the defensive line.

Fefenders Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, and Éder Militão are out after sustaining a cruciate ligament tear while Lucas Vázquez suffered an adductor injury. Carlo Ancelotti's squad is also missing Aurélien Tchouaméni, who is out with an ankle sprain, and Rodrygo, who picked up a muscle injury.

Cadena SER reported that Real Madrid are keen on signing Olivier Boscagli, who will be available for free transfer in the summer of 2025. The French centre-back is reportedly an alternative to Bayer Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah, who is also on the transfer target list of the Spanish giants.

Olivier Boscagli has helped maintain six clean sheets in 16 appearances across competitions for PSV Eindhoven so far this season.
