Real Madrid handed injury boost as star forward likely to be available for UCL clash against Milan - Reports
Real Madrid have been reportedly handed an injury boost as star forward Rodrygo will likely be available for their upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against AC Milan. The match is slated for Tuesday, November 5, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
Rodrygo sustained a hamstring injury in Real Madrid's last Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on October 22. The Brazilian was substituted in the 85th minute of the clash, which ended in a 5-2 win for Los Blancos.
Rodrygo missed Real's last La Liga clash against Barcelona, which ended in a 4-0 defeat on October 26 at Santiago Bernabéu. But Mundo Deportivo reports that the 23-year-old could return to action in Los Blancos' upcoming Champions League clash against AC Milan. He is back in training with the squad.
beIN SPORTS reported that during training, Rodrygo practiced shooting drills successfully and did some individual strength work but was not a part of the small-sided games. He will reportedly undergo a final assessment on Monday, October 4, following which head coach Carlo Ancelotti will determine if the Santos graduate will be back in action for Tuesday's clash.
Rodrygo, who arrived at Santiago Bernabéu in 2019, has netted three goals and provided two assists in 13 appearances across competitions for the Spanish champions this season.
Manchester City reportedly offer huge bid to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo
Manchester City have reportedly presented a massive bid of €150 million to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid. The Brazillian forward was linked with a move to Etihad earlier this summer.
Spanish news outlet Fichajes.net reported that Manchester City have lodged the bid after being impressed with Rodrygo's pacy and aggressive style of play. However, Los Blancos are reportedly not interested in letting go of the 23-year-old, considered an important asset.
Rodrygo has recorded 57 goals and 43 assists in 229 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid. He has won three La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions Leagues amongst other honors at the Santiago Bernabeu.
