Real Madrid star Endrick set for surprise move in January window following Los Blancos decision: Reports

Real Madrid are reportedly looking to send striker Endrick out on loan in the upcoming January transfer window. The Brazilian has struggled for minutes this season despite their injury concerns.

Los Blancos announced the signing of Endrick from Palmeiras in December 2022 for a reported fee of €47.50 million. However, he only joined them earlier this summer after he turned 18. He has made 12 appearances across competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Real Madrid have suffered numerous injuries this season, including to Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo Goes, and Brahim Diaz. They also don't have a natural No. 9 in the squad, except for Endrick. Despite this, the youngster has started just one game - in the UEFA Champions League - and none in LaLiga. He has played just 136 minutes across his 12 appearances.

Hence, as per Fichajes.net, Los Blancos' hierarchy are looking for loan options for the 18-year-old this January. Clubs from LaLiga, Premier League, and more are interested in signing Endrick in January.

The youngster came through Palmeiras' academy and made 82 senior appearances for them, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists. He's also earned 13 caps with Brazil and scored three goals.

Carlo Ancelotti opens up on Real Madrid's position in LaLiga after Getafe win

While they won the UEFA Super Cup in the summer, Real Madrid have had a poor start to the 2024-25 campaign. They have already lost more games across competitions this season (4) than they did in the entire 2023-24 campaign (2). However, they still find themselves within just one point of leaders Barcelona in the LaLiga table with a game in hand.

Los Blancos beat Getafe 2-0 at home in their last match on Sunday, December 1. When asked about their league position in his post-match press conference, Ancelotti said (via Managing Madrid):

“Madrid, despite the difficulties, which are many, the injuries, are fighting. What gives me confidence is that we have regained a good attitude, spirit, concentration... Little by little, we will solve the problems. In the meantime, we are there fighting.”

Real Madrid will next take on Athletic Club at San Mames on Wednesday, December 4, before facing Girona at the Montilivi Stadium on Sunday. Meanwhile, Barcelona, who are winless in their last three league games, will face Mallorca at Son Moix Stadium on Tuesday and Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin on Saturday.
