Kylian Mbappe has already announced that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season after joining the club in 2017. He is their all-time record goalscorer with 256 goals in 307 games. Mbappe also has 108 assists to his name.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is currently the hottest free agent in world football. Several top European clubs have been linked with the forward, with Real Madrid the favorites to sign him.
When Arsene Wenger compared Kylian Mbappe to Pele
Pele is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. The Brazilian icon won three FIFA World Cups during his career and was an exceptionally blessed footballer.
Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger compared Kylian Mbappe to Pele when he first saw the Frenchman play. In an interview with CNN, Wenger said:
"When I saw him play first time in the first period, I said: 'It's Pele'. He has a combination of pace, intelligence, relaxed attitude to deal with stress. You can't give that to people."
Like Pele, Mbappe has already won the World Cup as a teenager. The 25-year-old is currently one of the best footballers on the planet. If Mbappe ends up at Real Madrid, his legacy could be further enhanced.
Despite already having a glowing career, Mbappe is yet to win the Ballon d'Or or the UEFA Champions League. Joining Los Merengues could put the French forward in a good position to win the coveted honor.
