Real Madrid Transfer News Roundup: Saudi Arabia want Brazilian ace, Los Blancos suffer Florian Wirtz blow, and more - November 30, 2024

Real Madrid are putting together final preparations ahead of their game against Getafe on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Carlo Ancelotti's team are second in the league after 13 games, four points behind leaders Barcelona, but with a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia remain determined to secure the services of Vinicius Junior. Elsewhere, Los Blancos are lagging behind in the race to sign a German midfielder.

On that note, let's look at the major Real Madrid transfer stories from November 30, 2024.

Saudi Arabia want Vinicius Junior

Saudi Arabia have retained their interest in Vinicius Junior, according to Diario SPORT. The Middle Eastern nation were very keen to secure the Brazilian's services this summer and even offered him a massive pay package.

Real Madrid were apparently offered a massive fee for the player as well, which they turned down. Vinicius also rejected Saudi's advances, but many at Los Blancos apparently believe that their offer has turned his head.

That hasn't affected his performances this season, though. The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and set up eight more from 18 games across competitions.

Despite the arrival of Kylian Mbappe over the summer, Vinicius has held his own and remains one of Real Madrid's most important players. The Middle Eastern country are monitoring his performances with interest and haven't given up on him yet.

They will continue to pursue the Brazilian unless he publicly expresses a desire to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. Vinicius Junior's current contract with the LaLiga champions runs until 2027.

Bayern Munich have taken the lead in the race to sign Florian Wirtz, according to The Athletic. The German midfielder is a target for Real Madrid in 2025, with the club eager to strenthen their midfield next year.

Wirtz powered Bayer Leverkusen to the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal last season and has been in fine form this season as well. The 21-year-old has scored nine goals and set up four more from 19 games across competitions this campaign.

Leverkusen reportedly want €100m to let him go. Wirtz is under contract until 2027, but is expected to take the next step in his career in 2025.

It was previously believed that his price tag would be a problem for Bayern, but the Bavarians are now willing to go all out for the player next summer. They are even considering offloading players like Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, and Leon Goretzka to get a deal across the line.

Real Madrid have informed Liverpool that they want to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to talkSPORT. The English right-back is in the final year of his contract at Anfield and hasn't agreed to a new deal yet.

Los Blancos are eager to secure his services for free in the summer of 2025. They are free to secure a pre-contract with the player in January when he enters the final six months of his deal.

The LaLiga giants are under no obligation to inform the Merseyside club of their intentions. However, Real Madrid have done so because they want to be respectful to Liverpool. The Reds are not ready to throw in the towel yet, though, and remain hopeful of convincing the 26-year-old to stay.
