Real Madrid willing to offer Aurelien Tchouameni to Chelsea as part of deal to sign 23-year-old star: Reports

Real Madrid are allegedly willing to include French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in a potential player-plus-cash deal to snap up Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez in the future.

Tchouameni, 24, has recently popped up as a topic of discussion due to his below-par start to the ongoing 2024-25 season. He has started 13 of his 14 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid this campaign, but his performances have left something to be desired.

Now, according to Fichajes, Real Madrid have identified Fernandez as a successor to Tchouameni and are keen to make the most of the former's situation at Chelsea. They are ready to pay £84 million for the Argentine or offer their player to the Blues as part of a potential deal.

With Fernandez currently struggling for form at club level, Chelsea could decide to let go of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner. As a result, Real Madrid could succeed in their mission of parting ways with their star.

Tchouameni, who joined Real Madrid in a transfer worth up to £85 million from AS Monaco in 2022, has made 102 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid. The defensive midfielder has scored three times and laid out five assists for them, winning seven trophies.

Chelsea star tipped to win Ballon d'Or award

During a recent chat with GiveMeSport, Al-Hilal star Kalidou Koulibaly has claimed that Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is good enough to win the Ballon d'Or honour. He said:

"I hope he will continue to score. We know for all strikers, life is goals and Nicolas is no different. He has a good attitude and personality. And for me, he'll become the story of Senegal, just like Sadio Mane did. I am always telling him he has to follow Mane. I hope he will be the best player in Africa and why not in the world? He has the talent, so all things are at his feet."

Koulibaly, who left the Blues to join Al-Hilal in 2023, concluded:

"He has to believe he can be this good. That is the most important thing. All the players who have won the Ballon d'Or believed they could. They all thought they could win this trophy. So you have to put this in Nicolas' head. Of course, I don't tell him to be selfish and ignore his team-mates, but he has to think about the Ballon d'Or, and if you put this image in his head, he can achieve it."

Jackson, 23, has found the back of the net six times and registered three assists in 10 overall appearances for the Blues so far this campaign.

The former Villarreal man will next be in action for Chelsea in their Premier League contest at Manchester United this Sunday (November 3).
