Real Madrid youngster tempted by possible move to the Premier League: Reports

Real Madrid forward Arda Güler is reportedly tempted by a potential move to the Premier League. After starting his senior career at Fenerbahçe in 2021, the 19-year-old arrived at Santiago Bernabéu in 2023, and his current contract there is valid until the summer of 2029.

After sustaining several injuries in late 2023, Arda Güler made his debut for Real Madrid in January 2024. The Turkish youngster featured in 12 matches for the Spanish giants, playing 440 minutes while scoring six goals last season.

However, with new additions and more options in the Los Blancos squad, Güler has received limited playing time. He has played 307 minutes across 12 matches for the club so far this season.

According to Madrid Universal, Guler was earlier uninterested in moving away from Real Madrid in the January transfer window, but could now be open to the opportunity.

Diario SPORT reported that Arda Güler might consider a possible transfer from Los Blancos, with the Premier League, especially Manchester United, being a potential destination.

While reports linking Güler with a move to England are surfacing, former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes that the young talent will benefit from a transfer to Old Trafford. While speaking in an interview with Boyle Sports, the Frenchman said:

"Manchester United have a lot to offer him. For a start, more minutes than he has at Real Madrid. United need that type of creator, who plays with freedom and that is very difficult at Madrid."

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are reportedly not interested in letting go of Arda Güler in the near future. However, the La Liga giants, who have set a €1 billion release clause for him, might be open for a loan transfer of the Turkish midfielder.

Barcelona boss Hansi Flick reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid transfer target

According to El Nacional, head coach Hansi Flick is interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, who has been on Real Madrid's transfer target list for a while now. The 24-year-old left-back will be a free agent once his contract with the Bundesliga side expires in the summer of 2025.

Alphonso Davies has contributed to eight clean sheets in 15 appearances while providing three assists for Bayern Munich so far this season. He will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement in January to join another club at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Hansi Flick managed Alphonso Davies for two seasons during their time at Bayern Munich and it appears that the German coach is open to the idea of a reunion at Barcelona. Los Blancos, meanwhile, have been trying to sign the Canadian full-back for a while.

It remains to be seen how the battle between the Spanish arch-rivals to sign Alphonso Davies unfolds.
