Ruben Amorim sets sights on Real Madrid duo to help him kickstart Manchester United reign: Reports
Ruben Amorim is reportedly targeting Real Madrid's Rodrygo and Eduardo Camavinga to help him start his Manchester United rebuild. The Portuguese coach is close to becoming the Red Devils' new permanent manager.
According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Amorim wants Rodrygo and Camavinga to join his Old Trafford revolution. The duo have been prominent members of Carlo Ancelotti's first team at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodrygo, 23, enjoyed a stellar 2023-24 campaign, posting 17 goals and nine assists in 51 games across competitions. He's been on the radar of several of the Premier League's top teams.
Camavinga, 21, nearly joined Manchester United in August 2021 before arriving at Real Madrid. He's been impressing with his versatility under Ancelotti and could be a midfield talent to help strengthen Amorim's envisioned midfield.
Amorim will look to implement a 3-4-3 formation at Old Trafford, which could suit Rodrygo. Los Blancos are calm about the situation as both players are happy at the Bernabeu and have many years left on their contracts.
Manchester United looks set for another rebuild once Amorim arrives as expected. Reports claim he will look to offload Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Victor Lindelof in January.

Sky Sport Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that United have been gathering infromation recently on Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies. The Canadian left-back would be the ideal option to reinforce the left flank of defense.
The Red Devils approached Davies' entourage about the possibility of signing him. He'll become a free agent next summer as his contract with Bayern expires and talks over a new deal have reached an impasse.
Davies, 23, has been heavily linked with Real Madrid over the past year as he edges close to his contract expiring. The La Liga giants have been tracking him and there is a feeling he wants to move to the Bernabeu, per ESPN.
