Serie A giants keen on signing 20-year-old Chelsea star this summer - Reports

AC Milan are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka in the current transfer window. According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, the 20-year-old has emerged as a target for the Rossoneri.

The report claims that improvement of the midfield is a priority under new manager Paulo Fonseca. Alongside the Blues man, AS Monaco's Youssouf Fofana has also been linked.

Chukwuemeka would join former Chelsea stars Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek at the San Siro. The trio were at the club during the 2022-23 season before Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek made the move to Italy ahead of the next campaign.

The youngster came up through Aston Villa's academy before making his professional debut in May 2021 in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur. He was one of the first signings in the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital era, moving to Stamford Bridge in 2022 for a reported fee of £20 million.

After mostly being an unused option in his first season, he looked to play a more important role in the 2023-24 campaign. However, a knee injury in August ruled him out for an extended period of time. He made just 12 appearances all season, bagging two goals and one assist.
