3 Premier League clubs to challenge Manchester United for Chelsea star: Reports

Chelsea defender and Manchester United target Trevoh Chalobah has reportedly attracted attention from three Premier League clubs of late.

Chalobah, 25, has lately been identified as a potential outgoing for the Blues after Tosin Adarabioyo's arrival. He is currently training with his boyhood club's U21 team ahead of the 2024-25 Premier League term.

According to Football Insider, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Crystal Palace are all interested in adding Chalobah to their ranks this summer. The trio are expected to launch respective permanent moves for the star.

While Aston Villa are keen to sign a new centre-back to replace Diego Carlos, Crystal Palace are on the lookout for a replacement for Marc Guehi. Fulham, on the other hand, lost Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

Chalobah, who has reportedly been on Manchester United's radar for a couple of months, made 17 appearances for Chelsea last term. He scored once – in a 2-0 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Manchester United-linked defender has netted five goals and laid out one assist in 80 matches across competitions for Chelsea so far.

Dwight Yorke urges Chelsea to rope in 31-year-old Manchester United man this year

Ex-Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has claimed that his former club should try to offload Harry Maguire. He remarked (h/t TEAMtalk):

"Maguire could sit out the last year of his contract and know he's going to play at some point due to injuries, but United really need to be ruthless and get rid of him. They have Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Leny Yoro, but Harry Maguire is in the position that he doesn't have to go anywhere if he doesn't want to."

Sharing further thoughts on the Manchester United star, he continued:

"Maguire has shown that he is very capable of playing at the highest level still and elite clubs like Chelsea might take a chance on Maguire. He can clearly still play at the level and a fresh start might just give him that injection to really perform again for another year or two at that top level. With Thiago Silva leaving, there's a gap there for an experienced player like Maguire to move into."

Maguire, who left Leicester City for £80 million in 2019, has bagged 11 goals and contributed seven assists in 207 matches for United so far.

The Red Devils, on the other hand, are close to signing Bayern Munich stars Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to bolster their backline.
