Three Premier League clubs set to battle for Real Madrid star - Reports

Real Madrid's Arda Guler is being eyed by Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United, according to TBR Football. The Turkish midfielder has struggled for game time this season under Carlo Ancelotti and is apparently frustrated at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Guler rose through the ranks at Fenerbahce before making his first-team debut in 2021. The player was particularly influential during the 2022-23 campaign with six goals and seven assists in 35 games, prompting Los Blancos to come calling in the summer of 2023.

Real Madrid fought off stiff competition from Barcelona to secure the 19-year-old's signature in a €20m move. However, Guler endured an inauspicious start to his tenure in Spain, missing the first six months of the last season with injury.

When he returned in the second half of the campaign, he struggled to cement his place in a Los Blancos team full of superstars. However, Guler still finished the campaign with six goals from 12 games.

The Turkey international was expected to be in the thick of things this season, especially after Toni Kroo's retirement. But that hasn't been the case, with Guler struggling for chances once again.

He has appeared 11 times (292 minutes) across competitions for Real Madrid, but only three of those have been starts. The situation has led to speculation regarding the player's future, with the Premier League trio among the clubs eyeing the developments with interest.

Will Real Madrid allow Arda Guler to leave in 2025?

Despite his lack of game time this season, Arda Guler remains highly regarded at Real Madrid. Los Blancos are convinced that the teenager will develop into one of the finest players in the world and have no desire to let him go.

Guler was instrumental in Turkey's run to the quarterfinals of Euro 2024. He became only the third teenager in the history - after Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney - to both score and assist in the tournament

As such, Guler is understandably frustrated that he hasn't been given more game time with the LaLiga giants. Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal were also interested in the player before his move to Real Madrid.

They could also enter the race for the Turkish midfielder if he becomes available next year. If his situation under Carlo Ancelotti doesn't change, Los Blancos could be tempted to send him out on loan in January.

Juventus recently announced on social media that they had secured Guler's signature. However, the club later clarified that their account was hacked.
