Rumour: Arsenal and Tottenham set to bid for Mario Balotelli

AS Roma v AC Milan - Serie A

The problems between Mario Balotelli and AC Milan are at a all time high and it has sparked rumours of the club selling the Italian in the upcoming summer transfer window, with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham as the prime contenders for his signature.

After Milan’s 2-0 loss to Roma over this weekend, Balotelli reacted quite angrily after being substituted by manger Clarence Seedorf, and this adds to the long list of incidents which clearly state his unrest in the Italian club.

Balotelli further got into an altercation with the Italian media after the match, and the Daily Express has reported that his days at Milan are numbered and he can be the centre of a high profile move back to the Premier League where he has earlier played for Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to straighten their forward line after the departure of Jermaine Defoe who left for FC Toronto in the winter. Roberto Soldado has also been the topic of various criticisms over his goal scoring form, and Balotelli can be a huge addition to the side that will be looking to get back into the Premier League top 4.

Arsene Wenger will also look to sign a striker before the start of the next season, after various specialists have pointed out that over dependence on Olivier Giroud alone has resulted in the club’s slide down the table. The Gunners are all set for a blockbuster transfer and Balotelli can be their key to better results.
