Rumour: Arsenal have ended their interest in German star Julian Draxler
According to notable journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft, Arsenal have ended their interest in German wonderkid Julian Draxler.
Draxler is a highly-coveted young talent around Europe and Arsenal were thought to be frontrunners for his signature and almost came close to signing him in January. While a few weeks ago, the Schalke chairmen claimed Arsenal would have to pay a big money for Draxler.
The thinking was that the Gunners would return for Draxler during the summer transfer window and add him to their squad in preparation for a title challenge but it seems Arsene Wenger has given up on signing the attacker.
Re: Draxler As tweeted before: Arsenal have cooled their interest. Bayern could take him NEXT season. But he needs to improve.

Another player plying his trade in Germany that Arsenal have taken a liking to is Lars Benders. The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is widely tipped to join the north London club in the summer but they do have some strong competition.
Re: Lars Bender to Arsenal rumour – Leverkusen solid funding (Bayer) – they like to say “not for sale” – new coach. Best players must stay?

There is another playing tickling Wenger’s fancy in the Bundesliga that has also been tipped to join the club. Nurnberg striker Josip Drmic will join Arsenal, according to Lothar Matthaus.
