Rumour: Arsenal's hunt for Lazio striker Miroslav Klose hits a snag
Arsenal have taken a step towards completing the signing of Spartak Moscow midfielder Kim Kallstrom, but have admitted defeat in their bid to sign Lazio’s Miroslav Klose.
Goal’s chief correspondent Wayne Veysey believes that Kallstrom has completed a medical, but that the club were unable agree terms with Lazio over the transfer of Klose.
The Gunners had been linked with a move for Klose in order to provide competition for Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner. However, whilst the 35 year old German international was reportedly keen on the move, Goal believe that the clubs were unable to agree terms, leaving the deal dead in the water.
Arsenal deal for Klose is off the table. Player was keen but #AFC could not reach an agreement with Lazio.
