Rumour: Barcelona planning to rope in Pepe Reina in summer
Daily Star reports suggest, Barcelona may rope in Liverpool goal keeper Pepe Reina next summer. Reina is currently on a season long loan to Napoli.
Barcelona vice president, Josep Maria revaled that they were interested in availing the Spanish goalkeeper’s services. RAC1 quoted Maria: We have been looking for a goalkeeper since Valdes announced he wanted to leave.
“We are in highly advanced negotiations. If Valdes says officially where he will go to in January, we will announce the new goalkeeper for Barcelona.
“Our idea is to sign only one goalkeeper.
“Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Pepe Reina are within our range of options, which is already very small.”
Reina would not come back to Liverpool as manager Brendan Rodgers prefers Belgian keeper Simon Mignolet, who is in sublime form.
