Barcelona have told teenage star to find new club, will not be able to register him if he stays - Reports

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have reportedly told attacker Vitor Roque that he needs to find a new club. Roque has been one of the possible outgoings on Barcelona’s list after he fell out of favour with new boss Hansi Flick.

Barcelona had offered Roque for sale along with some other players, but the 19-year-old is still at the club, having turned down two offers from Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal.

The Spanish giants are keen on recouping money from player sales, as they are financially hamstrung at the moment. Roque’s departure is considered a crucial measure to reduce the wage burden and ensure adherence to league regulations.

The report also claims that Roque will be registered as a first-team player but will not participate in any of Barcelona’s matches. The other is that he will not be registered, as the club is still over the salary limit in La Liga.

Barca are not willing to flout the La Liga 1:1 rule, which explains why they are looking for a destination for Roque either on a transfer or loan. That comes after they were unable to register Dani Olmo as a first-team player after signing him this summer.

Julian Araujo is on the verge of joining AFC Bournemouth for €10 million, and as per reports, Roque could make a move to the Vitality Stadium along with Araujo. Roque joined Barcelona from Athletico-PR for a reported €40 million. He has scored a paltry two goals for the club across competitions.

Barcelona turn to Kingsley Coman after Nico Williams snub

Barcelona have reportedly turned their attention to Bayern Munich Kingsley Coman after their pursuit of Nico Willaims seems to have fallen through.

Williams became a subject of interest for the Blaugrana after his triumph with Spain in Euro 2024. However, with Williams deciding to stay put at Atletico Bilbao, the Blaugrana now considers Coman as an alternative.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have started to discuss wingers internally and have shortlisted Coman as a possible option. Meanwhile, Flick is also interested in the French winger, having worked with him at Bayern.

Bayern could be open to a potential loan deal for Coman, as they are looking for a club that could cover a part of his salary.
