Rumour: Chelsea and Manchester United interested in world class striker
Representatives of Paris St Germain striker Edinson Cavani havereportedly flown to London in order to discuss terms with both Chelsea andManchester United ahead of a potential summer move.
Cavani only joined the French giants in the summer from Napoli for a reported £54million, but the Uruguayan is keen to move on again after feeling unsettled in the French capital, with a move to the Premier League thought to appeal. <Although the South American is reportedly unsettled, he along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic is viewed as one of Europe’s most fearful strike-forces.
PSG are not thought to want to sell but are also unwilling to keep an unhappy player on their books when they have the resources to capture any other forward they wish.
Manchester United are thought to be in pole position should PSG entertain a sale, with club ambassador Sir Alex Ferguson holding strong ties with Laurent Blanc after the PSG manager spent some time at Old Trafford towards the end of his career.
The former United boss is believed to have spoken to Blanc already about a potential transfer between the club and nothing has been ruled out as yet by the French club.
PSG would be looking to recoup their £54m outlay on the striker if any sale is to go through, with Cavani still having three years to run on his current contract with the club.
