Rumour: Chelsea interested In Everton's Ross Barkley

Is Ross Barkley on his way to Stamford Bridge next season?

West London outfit Chelsea are ready to offload Romelu Lukaku to Everton permanently in a swap deal that will include midfielder Ross Barkley.

The 20 year old play maker has been an instrumental part of Everton’s impressive displays this season and Jose Mourinho seems to be interested in his services.

The home grown talent has netted on 5 occasions in 28 appearances and made his debut recently for England.

With a Champions league qualification spot up for the grabs, the Toffees continue to produce some good football under their new boss Roberto Martinez.

Lukaku has been pivotal in their attack  but the Belgian’s one year loan spell will end this summer which will see him return to the Bridge.

But Jose Mourinho’s already existing striking options may see him being offered to Everton on a permanent deal and convince them to give away their young starlet in exchange.

Whether this deal will be enough for Everton to release Ross Barkley remains to be seen.
