Chelsea receive enquiries for Christopher Nkunku; club make decision regarding possible sale - Reports
Chelsea have reportedly received offers for midfielder Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer.
Nkunku, 26, missed the first part of the season due to injury, only making his Blues debut towards the end of the year. He scored thrice in 14 outings across competitions - with all three goals coming in the Premier League - where Mauricio Pochettino's side won their last five games to finish a creditable sixth.
Overall, the Frenchman - who's contracted with the Blues till 2029 - missed a whopping 36 games across competitions. As per Pys (via Sky SportDE), the Premier League giants haave received 'interest and enquiries' for Nkunku.
However, both the player and club do not want to end their association this summer despite an injury-plagued first season.
Following an expensive summer overhaul, Pochettino's side struggled for consistency amid multiple injuries. However, they did well to avert back-to-back mid-table finishes and also fared well in both domestic cups.
After losing 1-0 to Liverpool in extra time in the EFL Cup final, the Blues went down by the same scoreline - in regulation time - to holders Manchester City in the FA Cup semifinal.
With their sixth-placed finish, the Blues initially qualified for the UEFA Europa League, but Manchester United's FA Cup final win over City meant that they dropped down to the UEFA Europa Conference League instead.
