Rumour: Chelsea to fight with Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool to sign Juan Manuel Iturbe
Chelsea have joined Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool in the hunt to sign Juan Manuel Iturbe from Porto in the summer, TalkSport report.
The Argentine attacker has spent the season on loan at Hellas Verona in Serie A and impressed greatly to attract the interest of the Premier League quartet.
Porto are also monitoring his progress carefully after sending him out on loan following an unsuccessful stint with the club and his form this season could persuade them to give Iturbe another chance at the reigning Portuguese champions.
Iturbe has netted five times from the wing as Hellas Verona have proven to be Italy’s surprise package, with the predicted strugglers currently sitting in seventh in the table.
Porto could use his impressive season to cash in on the forward at an inflated price, with the 20-year-old having so far failed to make an impression at Estadio Dragao, while Verona have already entered talks with the Portuguese outfit in an attempt to land him on loan for a second season, as they cannot afford a permanent fee for the Argentine.
Juventus and Roma have also been attracted by his impressive form in Italy and could yet make a summer move for the talented youngster, with a bidding war seemingly shaping up for Argentina’s latest great talent.
