Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Hierro working on convincing Real Madrid legend to join Al-Nassr: ReportsĀ

New Al-Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro and captain Cristiano Ronaldo are reportedly looking to snap up legendary Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos. The 38-year-old plays for Sevilla in La Liga.

Ramos registered seven goals and an assist in 37 games across competitions in his first season back at his former club in nearly 20 years. Three of those goals came in 28 games in La Liga - where the Andalusian side finished a lowly 14th.

He also scored twice each in the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League, with Sevilla falling early in both competitions. Ramos is out of contract at the end of the month.

Madrid Zone (via Diarioas) has reported that Al-Nassr sporting director Hierro and Ronaldo - both Los Blancos legends - are trying to 'convince' Ramos to arrive at Mrsool Park.

Having played most of his club football in Spain - and two in France (with PSG) - Ramos might decide to embark on a new adventure in the Middle-East. The player's position on Al-Alami's reported pursuit is not immediately known, though.

Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo spent a hugely successful nine-season stint together at Real Madrid, between 2009 and 2018. During this period, Ronaldo contributed a staggering 450 goals in 438 games across competitions, emerging as the club's all-time record goalscorer.

Together, the duo shared the pitch 340 times across competitions, recording 15 joint goal contributions, with Ronaldo scoring 12 of them. The duo achieved great success together at the Santiago Bernabeu, winning two La Liga and four UEFA Champions League (including three on the trot), among various honours.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 and has been at his current side Al-Nassr since December 2022. Ramos, meanwhile, left in 2021 and spent two years at PSG before returning to Spain with Sevilla.
