Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr dealt blow as Liverpool duo unlikely to move to the SPL this summer - Reports
Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have reportedly received a transfer blow, as Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker and centre-back Virgil van Dijk are unlikely to join the club this summer. The duo have been key for the Reds since their arrival at Anfield.
Since arriving from AS Roma in the summer of 2018, Alisson has kept an impressive 114 clean sheets in 263 games across competitions. That includes 11 clean sheets in 32 games last season as the Reds finished third, won the EFL Cup and reached the FA Cup and UEFA Europa League quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Van Dijk arrived at Anfield in January 2018 and has contributed 23 goals and 12 assists in 270 games across competitions. That includes four goals and two assists in 48 games across competitions last campaign.
With the departure of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season, it was speculated that Alisson and Van Dijk would also follow suit. Al-Alami were linked with their services, but NFC1 World has tweeted (as translated from Arabic) that it's unlikely to happen:
"According to the reliable source in Liverpool, Ian Doyle | - Alisson continues at Liverpool and does not want to leave. Liverpool will not allow Van Dijk to leave and will work to renew his contract."
Van Dijk and Alisson have won every possible trophy with the Reds except the UEFA Europa League and would have been stellar additions at Al-Nassr.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo locked horns many times with Liverpool during his seven and a half seasons in English football with Manchester United. His first spell was from 2003 to 2009, while his second lasted from August 2021 to December 2022.
In 14 games across competitions, the 39-year-old scored thrice and assisted once, with his team winning nine times and losing four. Cristiano Ronaldo scored once against them in three UEFA Champions League games for Real Madrid and twice in 11 games across the Premier League (10) and EFL Cup.
The Al-Nassr superstar is coming off a superb 44-goal season with his current club side, his first full campaign in Saudi Arabian football. However, Luis Castro's side ended the season trophyless for the second straight term.
