Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr plotting ambitious move for Liverpool superstar: Reports
Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr have reportedly set sights on signing goalkeeper Alisson from Liverpool. The Saudi Pro League side see the Brazilian as their top target this summer.
As per the Telegraph, Alisson will be offered a lucrative contract by the Saudi club. The goalkeeper is one of the top players on the radar of Middle East clubs.
However, Liverpool journalist David Lynch has said that the Brazilian has no plans to leave Anfield. He believes that the former AS Roma star is looking to work with new boss Arne Slot:
"Another player who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia is Alisson Becker. There is interest from him from several clubs, that's from sources close to the player.
"Those sources also insist that Alisson is very happy at Anfield he wants to stick around and usher in this new era under Arne Slot, he doesn't want to depart now that Jurgen Klopp has left the club."
Apart from Alisson, Mohamed Salah has also been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League from Liverpool. The Egyptian was a target last summer too, but the Reds reportedly rejected an offer over £100 million from Al-Ittihad.
Liverpool stars welcomed to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League
Michael Emenalo told Sky Sports last season that the Middle Eastern clubs are interested in signing more players from the Premier League.
He was quizzed on Salah, but the Saudi Pro League director of football sent an open invitation to more Liverpool stars and others in the Premier League:
"I've said before, privately and publicly that we welcome anybody that wants to come to the SPL. That includes Salah. But we have to do things in a very professional and respectful manner. That's what we're there for, it's what the SPL has been refined to do - bring professionalism, respect of efficiencies, and do things in a competent way.
"If it didn't happen, it's not because we no longer fancy the player, or because we have a problem with Liverpool. It's because certain things that need to align didn't. Nobody is angry, we move on, but we close no doors and if the opportunity is there to do things and do it well, and it brings Mo Salah to the SPL, we'll be very grateful."
Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson, Romelu Lukaku, Raheem Sterling and others have been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
