Rumour: David Moyes to bid £45 million for Seamus Coleman and Luke Shaw
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United are plotting an outrageous £45 million bid for promising full backs Luke Shaw of Southampton and Seamus Coleman of Everton.
Manager David Moyes has been struggling this season since his appointment, with the club hitting a new low after drawing to 20th placed Fulham at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
With Patrice Evra set to leave in the summer, Rafael failing to cement his place in the first team squad and Nemanja Vidic announcing his summer departure, David Moyes is desperate to find able replacements.
Seamus Coleman and Luke Shaw have been the two most prolific sought after full backs in England this season, with stellar displays, both in defence and attack, and are sure to fit the profile at Manchester United.
Although Luke Shaw is most likely to join Chelsea, the Red Devils will be hopeful of persuading the Englishman to move to Old Trafford in the summer.
With other high profile teams waiting to pounce, the chances of the defending champions signing the coveted pair will hinge on their qualification to the UEFA Champions League next season.
