David Moyes to replace Tim Sherwood at Tottenham?

North London club Tottenham are supposedly considering a bid to replace their manager Tim Sherwood with the recently dismissed coach of Manchester United, David Moyes. According to the London Evening Standard, the Scotsman seems to be the front runner for the Spurs job as the club has clearly stated its rift with their current manager.

Manchester United decided to part ways with Moyes after a turbulent ten month tenure which saw the club produce one of its worst performances in the Premier League era. The club has decided to name club legend Ryan Giggs as the interim manager and it seems that Spurs target Louis Van Gaal seems to be the top pick for the job at Old Trafford.

Tottenham replaced their sacked manager Andre Villas-Boas in December with Tim Sherwood, but the rift in relations between the players and him is quite clear at the moment. Sherwood was given the job on an 18 month deal, but his shaky relationship with the players and Tottenham’s inability to clinch the Champions League spot seem to have sealed his fate. He was also criticized by the fans when he decided to witness his side’s embarrassing 4-0 loss to Liverpool from the director’s box.

The newspaper has also claimed that the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been considering David Moyes despite his disastrous results with United, and is supposed to be one of the favorites to replace Sherwood for the job.
