Euro 2024 favourites England continue their quest for a first major title since the 1966 FIFA World Cup when they take on Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen this weekend. Southgate's side are unbeaten in 11 competitive games since losing 2-1 to France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.

The Three Lions will fancy their chances of continuing their unbeaten competitive run against a Slovakia side who are winless in six games against Gareth Southgate's side, losing five.

The two sides last faced off in FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifying, with the Three Lions winning 1-0 in Trnava and 2-1 at the Wembley. England's last meeting with Slovakia at a major tournament was at Euro 2016 in the group stage - which ended goalless in Saint-Etienne - sending both teams through to the knockouts.
