Rumour: Juventus targeting Nemanja Vidic with bumper contract
As per reports of Daily Star, Manchester United captain, Nemanja Vidic is a target for Serie A giants Juventus. The 31-year-old defender is in his last year of his contract with Manchester United.
Juventus are set to offer Vidic a £4 million-a-year salary to leave the Premier League champions and join his former team-mate Carlos Tevez.
Tevez said, “He is very strong, a really good defender. I played with him and against him, when I moved to Manchester City. Of course he’d be very suitable for the Italian championship.”
The Serbian defender has appeared 13 times so far this season under David Moyes after being plagued by persistent knee injuries which restricted him to only 25 Premier League outings in the past two campaigns.
