Kylian Mbappe sends formal notice to PSG, demands staggering fee in unpaid salary and bonuses: Reports

Kylian Mbappe has served Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) with a formal notice, demanding unpaid salaries and bonuses from the French giants. It comes after he announced his decision to move to Real Madrid next season, with his contract in Paris expiring on June 30.

Currently, Mbappe is with the France national team at EURO 2024. After the competition is done, he will be headed to the Santiago Bernabeu, where Los Blancos will make preparations to unveil the superstar.

However, it doesn't seem like the forward will leave PSG without a potential legal battle. According to L'Equipe (via Madrid Xtra), Mbappe is being owed salaries and bonuses that amount to around €100 million. With his contract ending in just over a week, he has submitted a formal notice to the club, demanding his dues.

Mbappe has been at PSG since 2017, winning everything except the UEFA Champions League. Last season, although it had become clear that he would not continue with the club, the forward produced an impressive season. He scored 44 goals in 47 games across competitions, helping them win Ligue 1 and two more titles.

Bayern Munich chief slams Real Madrid for signing PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid have announced Kylian Mbappe as their newest signing this summer, releasing the statement only two days after winning the UEFA Champions League. He will be leaving PSG on a Bosman transfer.

Los Blancos have reportedly had to attract the French World Cup winner with a mega-money offer. While the numbers behind the signing have not been revealed, they're believed to be massive, which has upset Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl, who told Suddeutsche Zeitung (via GOAL):

"At some point it will be oversaturated and Saudi Arabia will come along. That doesn't feel very good. I have to say that to be fair, but that's the market right now. The money is leaving the market. No club benefits from it.
"Players, families, agents, everyone benefits, but not the clubs. In the past, at least clubs profited. The money stayed in the cycle and that will become less and less now."

Kylian Mbappe will hope to win the Champions League, which has long eluded him, with Real Madrid. He will play alongside superstars like Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, both of whom have taken the footballing world by storm.
