Rumour: Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United in for Everton's Ross Barkley
Reports suggest that Manchester City have entered the race to sign up highly rated young Evertonian, Ross Barkley. The 19 year old has been a stand out performer at Goodison Park this season helping the Toffees to a strong start in the league campaign.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini had dispatched scouts to witness the young lad in action against Arsenal last week at The Emirates. The young English footballer enjoyed a great game and has hugely impressed the scouts. His form this year has also seen him breakthrough the English Football team.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez won’t be inclined in losing his prized asset, and the club would also not want a future star to leave, previously having lost Jack Rodwell to the Manchester outfit under similar cirumstances.
The oil-funded outfit’s financial clout could become a problem for the Merseyside club, once the transfer window re-opens in January. Interest from Chelsea and the other half of Manchester have also been reported to be very high.
