Rumour: Frozen-out Manchester City winger James Milner target for Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur are rumored to be targeting Manchester City outcast James Milner in the summer, as they look to rebuild their squad after several unsuccessful transfers under Andre-Villas Boas.
The midfielder was one of the first to become a part of the Etihad revolution back in 2010, when he moved from Aston Villa in a hefty deal worth £28.5 million.
However, the Englishman has not been given enough opportunities to justify his transfer fee, and after 4 years, will be looking to move on with the hope of playing more regular first team football.
The Spurs on the other hand, bought 8 top players last summer spending close to 100 million pounds, but most have failed to live up to their valuations this season.
As Chairman Daniel Levy pushes to get into the Champions League next season, he will hope to make the 28-year old workoholic his first signing at the end of the season, as he looks to clear the dead wood at the club.
