Rumour: Manchester United edging closer to £15 million rated Everton star Seamus Coleman
Manchester United are believed to be edging closer to securing the services of Everton defender Seamus Coleman in the summer in a deal rumoured to be worth £15 million.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils are in advanced talks with representatives of the player and the Merseyside club, and a deal looks to be on the cards in the coming few months.
The full back has revelled in manager Roberto Martinez’s new formation and tactics, scoring an unbelievable 6 goals and providing one assist so far in the Premier League.
The 25-year old was signed by ex Toffees boss and current Manchester United manager David Moyes for a meagre £60,000 from League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers in 2008.
Considering the problems the reigning English champions are having at the back, the Republic of Ireland international seems to be at the top of their shopping list this summer.
However, Everton could dent United’s hopes as they are rumoured to be preparing a contract extension for the player to fend off interest from the top European clubs.
