Rumour: Manchester United eye Juventus’ Arturo Vidal
Manchester United are to complete the signings of two world-class midfielders in Arturo Vidal and Cesc Fabregas, who have both been highly-sought after by a number of clubs.
Van Gaal reportedly gave Old Trafford executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward a shortlist of players to help in midfield, with the names of Vidal and Fabregas thought to be featured, according to the Daily Star.
Fabregas, now 27-years-old, has been tipped to leave Barcelona along with many others this summer and after Louis van Gaal took over at the club, it is reported Fabregas is now interested in a move to the English giants.
Van Gaal has been linked with a number of targets and Fabregas, who was linked heavily with the Red Devils last summer during Moyes’ time in charge, could have his head swayed again in the direction of the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the club are also finalising a deal for Chilean star Arturo Vidal as the 26-year-old continued his fantastic profile with another great performance for Juventus in Serie A.
Juventus boss Antonio Conte recently insisted in-demand Vidal will remain at the club, however, the combative midfielder is considering his options and is looking to make a decision after the conclusion of this summers World Cup in Brazil.
