Manchester United not involved in talks to sign PSG superstar Neymar - Reports
Manchester United were recently linked with a swoop for PSG superstar Neymar, who looks likely to call time on his stint with the Parisians at the end of the season. However, the move is unlikely this summer, as the reports have been branded as false.
French outlet L'Equipe reported earlier this week that Manchester United have begun negotiations with PSG over the potential transfer of Neymar. The publication claimed that the concerned parties are eager to pull off the move, which would be quite complicated.
However, English publication Daily Mail have poured cold water on the speculation. The outlet has said that there are no talks ongoing between the two clubs over the transfer of the Brazilian winger. According to them, the Premier League giants aren't considering a move for the player this summer.
Neymar's situation at PSG appears to be getting clearer as days pass. The attacker is approaching the end of the road in Paris and is expected to part ways with the Ligue 1 leaders after the ongoing campaign concludes.
The winger's future has been a hot topic for debate recently, with the club's ultras recently demanding his exit from the club by launching abuse at the player outside his house.
With Manchester United seemingly uninterested in snapping him up this summer, it remains to be seen which club will offer the Brazilian an escape route from the Parc des Princes.
Manchester United legend expresses fear over Premier League rivals signing Neymar from PSG
Former Red Devils defender Gary Neville has said that he'd be scared to death if Newcastle United sign Brazilian winger Neymar this summer. Reports mention the Magpies among the player's suitors.
“That would scare me to death, that sort of signing,” the Manchester United legend was quoted as saying (via Metro). Neymar is a sensational player, but Eddie Howe would have a sort of circus.
"Eddie Howe doesn’t need a circus up here. You think about what Newcastle are at this moment in time; hey’re building; they have foundations. What you don’t want to do is disrupt that; the fans are right behind the team.”
Neymar arrived at PSG from Barcelona on a world-record €222 million transfer in the summer of 2017.
