Manchester United reach verbal agreement with Bayern Munich over transfer of player keen on move - Reports

Manchester United have reportedly struck up a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui. The 26-year-old right-back has been at the Allianz Arena since the 2022-23 season.

Mazraoui has scored once and provided eight assists in 55 games across competitions for the Bavarian giants. Last season, he assisted four times in 29 outings as Bayern endured their first trophyless campaign in 12 years.

Despite being contracted with the Allianz Arena till 2026, the Morocco international has 'green-lit' a move to United, as reported by Santi J FM (via Transfer News Live). The report also says that the Red Devils have had a verbal agreement with Bayern for a possible move this summer.

It's pertinent to note that Mazraoui was close to joining West Ham United, but a deal collapsed. The Hammers had agreed to a €15.5 million transfer for the player, with whom they had a verbal agreement.

However, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that the move broke down. United have seemingly capitalized on the situation as they look to add the Morocco international to their roster.
