Rumour: Manchester United target Southampton prodigy Harrison Reed, dubbed the next Paul Scholes

Ryo Miyaichi of Arsenal runs at Harrison Reed of Southampton

Yet another graduate of the highly esteemed Southampton youth academy, Harrison Reed is already being targeted by the big boys, with Manchester United the latest to show an interest in the youngster.

The new regime under David Moyes is already looking to start the rebuilding process for next season, and has sent out scouts on more occasions than one to watch the talented midfielder.

A contemporary of the highly rated Saints like Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana, he is forcing his way into the first team set up, and is sure to feature in the Premier League more regularly sooner rather than later.

The central midfielder, who has drawn comparisons to the legendary Paul Scholes, is known for his great technical ability and assured first touch.

The under-21 is a star for the future, and the Red Devils will be looking intently on the progress of the ‘next Paul Scholes’, hoping to make him a part of the new Manchester United revolution.
