Rumour: Manchester United switch their attention to Benfica ace Nicolas Gaitan

Sources report, Manchester United have turned their attention to Benfica star, Nicolas Gaitan, after suffering a set back in their pursuit of fellow Argentinian, Angel Di Maria, who looks destined for AS Monaco.

The champions are desperate to consolidate their attacking options, after a disappointing summer transfer window, which saw the arrival of just one player – Maruone Fellaini, in a rather inflated deal.

Nicolas Gaitan has lit up European football with dazzling performances, and has become a target for several other top clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli.

David Moyes will look to spend well in the upcoming transfer window, as he needs a turnaround, following a disappointing start to the season which sees them languishing in ninth place.
